STONEVILLE, N.C. — A woman in Rockingham County made history.
Stoneville Town Council swore in Daisy Smith.
She is the first Black woman to ever serve on the town council. She is a lifelong Stoneville resident.
The town says she currently works as a church administrator and spent most of her professional life in Human Resources.
Congratulations, Daisy Smith!
