GREENSBORO, N.C. — Sternberger Elementary School went on lockdown briefly Wednesday afternoon due to an "outside concern," according to a Guilford County Schools spokesperson.
GCS said the lockdown delayed dismissal for a brief period, but it has since been lifted and the school will continue with dismissal.
All students and staff are safe.
"We want to thank everyone involved, especially our law enforcement partners, for keeping our students safe," GCS said.
