ARCHDALE, NC -- The controversial Spookywoods billboards have been replaced. The new version is the old billboard, but with a blurred picture a warning label saying: "Parental Advisory Explicit Content."
Kersey Valley Spookywoods put up about a dozen of it's old billboards across the Triad to promote its haunted house. Critics believe the image on the sign portrays violence against women and child abuse.
We first told you about the controversy, two weeks ago. On Thursday, The PR Department for Spookywoods confirmed the owner got a call saying all Billboards must come down today.
Folks at Spookywoods say they are in disbelief. The haunted attraction opens Friday night.
