Sister Of Greensboro Stabbing Victim Speaks Out

After burying her sister, 51-year-old Wanda Stewart, Earline Stover is still searching for answers about her death.

"Until you find out why it actually happened and who did it, there is no closure," explained Stover, who buried her sister on Sunday. "That's one good person God took home."

The body of Stover's sister, 51-year-old Wanda Lou Stewart, was found by a friend inside of Stewart's Franklin Boulevard home, according to the Greensboro Police Department. The friend told police the door to her home was wide open.

"I can't really think of any reason why anyone would want to hurt her," said Stover. "She just never bothered anybody. She just stayed to herself."

However, a few months ago, Stover said someone broke into her sister's home. "The person kicked the door in and demanded money," she explained. "She said she got a knife out. They took it away from her and cut her."

According to investigators, there were possible signs of forced entry at Stewart's home. However, they have not linked the previous break-in to her death. At this time, no arrests have been made in the case. If you have any information that could help authorities, call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
