Silver Alert canceled after elderly Winston-Salem couple returns home safely

Winston-Salem police said the couple were last seen leaving their home going to the Davie Medical Center.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — UPDATE AS OF 12:38 P.M.: The couple has returned home safely, according to Winston-Salem police. 

An elderly couple from Winston-Salem is missing and authorities are seeking help in locating them. 

Winston-Salem police issued a Silver Alert early Tuesday morning after they went missing. 

Saul Palacio, 88, and his wife Lucia Palacia, 93, were last seen leaving their home going to Davie Medical Center. There is no indication that they have arrived or not. 

They were last seen driving a 2019 red Volkswagen Atlas with NC tags that read QV0VADIS. 

Officers said Saul suffers from a cognitive disorder. 

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Saul and Lucia Palacio is asked to call the Winston-Salem Police Department at (336) 773-7700.
