ARCHDALE, N.C. — The search for a man accused of firing shots inside an Archdale business continues. Deputies said they found a stolen 2004 Nissan Titan in Rowan County on Tuesday night, but they still haven't found the suspect, 36-year-old Joshua Blaine Arquette.
Arquette is from Kannapolis, NC. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him. Call 911 immediately.
The manhunt started Tuesday morning when police said Arquette walked inside Carolina Container and fired multiple shots around 9:07 a.m. Detectives said Arquette has never been an employee at a Carolina Container location.
Police said no one was hurt in the shooting on Tuesday, and Arquette took off in a white pickup truck.
Then around 10 a.m., police said they received multiple calls from the area of Thompson Heath Road and Beckerdite Road. Neighbors reported a man carrying firearms, knocking on doors, going through cars, and asking to use a phone. Investigators said Arquette dumped the white pickup truck in this area and then stole a silver Nissan truck.
The stolen Nissan truck was found on Corriher Grange Road in Rowan County shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators there said Arquette is a "career felon" with various charges going back as far as 20 years in several counties. Most of his charges have come out of Cabarrus and now, Randolph counties.
A warrant for arrest is out for Arquette from several jurisdictions.
