WINSTON-SALEM - Winston-Salem police are looking for a man accused of crashing into several cars Saturday night around Hanes Mall after bail bond agents tried to arrest him.
A release from the police department said Bail Bond agents with the state department of insurance tried to take Nathaniel Artillery Taylor into custody for several outstanding orders for arrest around 7:30.
The encounter started in the mall parking lot where Taylor was driving recklessly trying to avoid arrest after the agents approached his car.
One agent shot at Taylor's car as he drove into a car in the parking lot and another car on Hanes Mall Blvd. Taylor drove into the driveway of the Silas Creek Crossing shopping center, got out of the car and ran away.
Taylor, 29, still hasn't been found. Police don't believe he was hit by gunfire during the pursuit. The drivers of the other cars involved had minor injuries.
Warrants were drawn against Taylor for Careless and Reckless Driving and two counts of Hit and Run. Additional charges against Taylor for this incident may be added.
