Sheriff: Woman Found With Heroin After Booked In Jail

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. – Deputies in Alamance County say a woman is facing drug charges from an incident that happened at the Alamance County Detention Center.

The woman was originally charged with multiple traffic offenses by the Burlington Police Department and placed under bond. Deputies say a drug sniffing K-9 detected drugs on her while she was being processed at the jail.

According to the Alamance County Sheriff's Office, Tisha Marie Childress, 30, was then charged with Possessing Drugs On A Jail Premise, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Childress was placed under a $20,000 additional secured bond for the narcotics charges filed by deputies. Her current bond is now $70,000.
