GREENSBORO, N.C. — How does NOT cooking dinner sound? I'm not talking about ordering pizza, I'm talking about a chef, coming up with a menu that you like, and creating not just a meal, but a dining experience for you and your friends!
Second Harvest Food Bank is holding a raffle for what they call The Chef's Table.
"We won the opportunity for a private Chef's Table experience at the Second Harvest Food Bank. It was like a 5-star restaurant experience but in one of the training kitchens at Second Harvest. Chef Bacon and his team really had us feeling at home and cooked for us and told us about each course and it was a full night experience," said Dr. Michael Fitch, last year's winner of the Chef's Table raffle.
The last Chef's Table menu featured items like Seared Sea Scallops with parmesan fluff, basil, blood orange, and beet puree, as well as a delectable salted caramel cheesecake for dessert.
You can win this experience, it's just $25 for a raffle ticket. The raffle ends at noon on May 3, 2024.
The chef talks with you about the menu, from the appetizer to the main entree and dessert, along with cocktail and wine pairings. This is a dinner for eight. You can do it the way Dr. Fitch did, watching the food prep and being part of the cooking while inside the kitchen, or you can have a catered event.
The money raised by the raffle goes to Second Harvest Food Bank, which served more than 500 partner agencies with food items last year. The reach of Second Harvest is from Boone to Burlington.
