MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Jeremy Hayes and his girlfriend were part of a pair of armed robberies this week before being arrested by Myrtle Beach Police.
Shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday, Hayes entered a Pizza Hut at 901 S. Kings Highway and started asking about the specials they were offering. He eventually showed a gun and demanded money from one of the employees, according to a police report. The employee had to get the manager to open the register and give Hayes all the money in it. Before leaving, Hayes told them to lay face down on the floor and said 'don't move, I'll kill you' before telling them to count to 30. He also took a cell phone.
Hayes left in the same gray Honda Civic Triad law enforcement had been searching for. City cameras caught the car on South Ocean Blvd. Officers pulled them over and arrested Hayes and Kennedy Boggs without incident. Hayes' blood was found on the inside door handle of the front door.
The report says officers tracked them back to the Polynesian Resort they were staying and searched their room.
On Monday, Hayes entered Royal Cleaners & Laundry on N. Kings Highway with a gun and demanded money from the register according to an arrest warrant. He also stole cash, a cell phone and a business phone before leaving.
Both are charged with being a fugitive of justice, and police say there will be more charges as Investigators complete their investigation.
Thursday morning, both Hayes and Boggs are facing a judge.
