WENTWORTH, N.C. — The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the death of Calvin Jerome "C.J." Simpson II, who was shot and killed on Christmas Eve 2016.
Simpson was shot to death in the doorway of his home on Northfork Drive in Reidsville. After answering a knock at the door, Simpson II was shot to death around 3:40 a.m. The shooter then left the area.
The case is being investigated as a homicide. In a release sent Monday, the sheriff's office asked anyone with information to call the sheriff's office at 336-634-3232 or Rockingham County Crime Stoppers at 336-349-9683.
