'Rock the Block' in High Point is supporting western North Carolina relief efforts

The relief concert features live performances along with food and drinks from vendors.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Several businesses in downtown High Point are partnering to hold a relief concert today.

“Rock the Block: A Relief Concert for Western NC” is happening near the Plank Street Tavern, 138 Church Ave., in High Point from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The event brings together music and community spirit to support towns throughout western North Carolina that are recovering from Hurricane Helene.

The relief concert features live performances along with food and drinks from vendors.

“High Point is a community that shows up for others, and Rock the Block is a testament to our shared commitment to supporting neighbors in need no matter the geography,” Amanda Anderson, President of Cover the City Project, said. “Through the Cover the City Project, every dollar we raise for this event will go directly to the areas in Western North Carolina where people need it most through various nonprofit organizations with boots on the ground.”

Some of the event’s musical lineup includes Purple House and The Mighty Fairlanes.

General admission tickets for the event are $30, which includes an all-day pass for music and food.
