GREENSBORO, N.C. — Work on a bridge for the Greensboro Loop will cause Lawndale Drive to close temporarily Friday night into Saturday afternoon.
According to a release from the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Lawndale Drive will be closed from 9:00 p.m. Friday to 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
This is so girders can be set for a bridge that will ultimately carry the future interstate 840 over the road.

A signed detour will be implemented following Lake Brandt Road, Battleground Avenue, and Pisgah Church Road.
Crews will be working throughout the night to minimize the actual closure time.
All drivers are urged to use caution as they approach the closure and to anticipate needing more time to commute through the detour.
