GREENSBORO, N.C. — Severe storms rolled through the Triad on Friday, leaving a trail of damage along the way.
Whipping winds caused a few downed trees and damage to buildings in Greensboro and High Point. At one point, traffic signals were down at Cone and Elm in Greensboro.
In High Point, roof shingles and boards were ripped from an office building on Eastchester Drive. The wind was so strong it even picked up a trampoline and wedged it between two trees in another High Point neighborhood.
We also received many photos of flash flooding in neighborhoods, especially in parts of Alamance County.
In Greensboro, the shopping plaza across Pyramid Village on East Cone caught fire on part of the rooftop. Firefighters believe the fire was caused by a lightning strike.

No one was hurt and the building was evacuated.
Greensboro Firefighters as the storm was moving through the area, they responded to more than a dozen weather-related calls within a 30-minute span.
At one point there were more than 3,700 power outages in Guilford County, according to the Duke Energy map. Most power has been restored.
