Rep. Howard Coble Honored At Greensboro Forum

After serving for 30 years in the U.S. House, he will be retiring in January.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- U.S. Representative Howard Coble was honored by his alma mater, Guilford College, at a forum Tuesday night.

The Guilford College Board of Visitors held their fifth annual President's Forum at the Greensboro Marriott Downtown and the program featured tributes from six local leaders.

Those who spoke at the forum included N.C. Supreme Court Justice Robert Hunter, former Greensboro Mayor Keith Holliday, Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan, attorney Marshall Hurley, Greensboro City Council member Nancy Hoffman, and Guilford College President Jane Fernandes.

Coble is a Greensboro native and graduated from Guilfiord College in 1953. After serving for 30 years in the U.S. House, he will be retiring in January.
