WALLBURG, N.C. -- Investigators with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office says a razor blade was found taped to a gas pump at a Sheetz station in Wallburg on Thursday.
Major Tarleton with the Sheriff's Office says someone called them to report the incident at the gas station on Gumtree Road off NC-109.
The deputy and the manager at the Sheetz checked every pump and did not find any other razors besides the one. They say no one was hurt from that razor, but it's still putting people on edge.
"We hear some crazy stuff out here but not razor blades on gas pumps," says Tori Ammirati, who works down the road from the Sheetz.
The Sheriff's Office is still trying to figure out who did this. They say they tried looking through security footage, but it all just looked like people getting gas.
In the meantime, Major Tarleton says they just want people to be careful and keep a watchful eye out.
