All power has since been restored in the Lake Jeanette and Lake Townsend area

GREENSBORO, N.C. — UPDATE: All power has been restored to the area.

At least 3,000 Duke Energy customers were without power near Lake Jeanette and Lake Townsend.

The outage was caused by a vehicle damaging equipment, according to a Duke Energy spokesperson.

The outage was first reported at 3:49 p.m., according to the Duke Energy website, and is expected to be resolved by 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
