Power restored in Davidson County

Residents in Davidson County have power again.

LEXINGTON, N.C. — UPDATE: Power has been restored in the area. 

A power outage has left thousands of residents in the dark in Davidson County, according to Duke Energy.

At least 2,000 residents are experiencing a power outage.

The outage is impacting cities like Lexington, Arnold, Welcome, Bethesda and surrounding towns.

The cause of the outages is unknown at this time, according to Duke Energy.

The outages should be resolved by 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night.
