Revolution Mill near Yanceyville Street reopen after reports of shots fired: Police

A woman told WFMY News 2 that she heard shots while she was on her break.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The area at Revolution Mill near Yanceyville Street has reopened after a report of shots fired Thursday afternoon. 

Greensboro police said they received a report of shots fired at 1:45 p.m. Thursday near the 2100 block of Yanceyville Street and thought it may be an active shooter situation. 

Multiple officers immediately responded and began investigating. No injuries were reported. 

No one saw a shooter and no shell casings were found. Police activated all appropriate response measures until the scene was fully cleared. 

A woman told WFMY News 2 that she heard shots fired while she was on her lunch break. Her boss texted her to not come back into the building. 

Crews spoke with another woman who said her mother works in the area and heard what sounded like a machine gun and that she is currently hiding under her desk. 

Guilford County Emergency Services said they didn't treat any patients.
