Police presence at Cherokee Lane in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — UPDATE (3:20 p.m.): The situation has been resolved, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. The road has reopened.

There is currently a heavy police presence at the 2700 block of Cherokee Lane in Winston-Salem, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

According to the department, this is an isolated incident at a house on Cherokee Lane.

The road is closed from Bolton Street at Cherokee Lane to Berwick Road. The WSPD is advising drivers to use Westridge Road to Pinebluff Road to access the 2600 block of Cherokee Lane. There are expected to be traffic delays as a result of this situation.
