Columbia, SC (WLTX) - University of South Carolina police arrested a man who they say rubbed and pinched a woman's toes at the Thomas Cooper Library on campus.
Officers say around 11:55 p.m. on February 28, they got a call of an assault at the library. The victim told officers that while she was studying, a man began touching her feet underneath a table. When she said something to him, he ran away.
The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Christopher Jermaine Deas, was later stopped by police and taken into custody. He's charged with assault and battery third-degree, and has been put on criminal trespass notice to not return to USC's property.
Police say they later found out that Deas has committed this same type of assault at six university campuses in North and South Carolina, and that he usually returns, even after being arrested.
The school is asking students who see him to immediately notify police.
