Person rescued from river by first responder who was with family, according to Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad

The post said the person was given CPR, revived, and taken to the hospital.

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A person was rescued from Madison River Park by a rescue technician who was with family when he heard screaming, according to the Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad. 

The squad posted to social media that technician, Ryan Clark was near the park, enjoying the river with family when he heard screams for help. 

It said Clark found a person floating in the water who was unresponsive. He began patient care and started CPR, reviving the person before units got to the scene. 

The squad said Clark and other first responders helped get the person to EMS units and the person was taken to the hospital.
