WASHINGTON D.C. -- Howard Coble, he's one of the most recognized politicians from North Carolina and in a few weeks he will retire.
Coble has represented the 6th district for 30 years and he will officially retire on January 2nd.
Wednesday, the North Carolina Congressional delegation took to the house floor to honor Coble. However, Coble had no idea what was going on. The Special Order took place right after five recorded votes.
At the beginning of the session Rep. Coble introduced Alma Adams , who was sworn-in as the 13th member of the delegation. She filled the unexpired term of Mel Watt.
