No charges to be filed against driver who crashed through Lexington Cracker Barrel

A customer had minor injuries, and a waitress narrowly missed being hit.

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Police said no charges will be filed against a driver who crashed into the Lexington Cracker Barrel.

The crash happened during lunchtime on January 25. Police said an SUV came crashing into the dining room of the restaurant.

"There was a guy sitting at the same table, like a minute before it happened - he got up and I was on my way to clean the table and the car just went through," waitress Stella Rowe said.

The driver was not hurt but a customer went to a local hospital with minor injuries.

It's not clear what caused the driver to crash into the building.
