Winston-Salem IFB is opening a new mattress outlet to sell products made mostly by blind workers.

ID=24243875WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Winston-Salem Industries For The Blind is opening a new mattress store. Their team of almost all blind workers produces about 200 mattresses each day and more than 50,000 mattresses per year.

The products are already being sold across the country and through several government contracts. Now you can also buy them at the new store at 7730 North Point Drive in Winston-Salem. The store is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind (IFB) is a nonprofit corporation founded in 1936 that provides employment, training and services for people who are blind or visually impaired. As one of the largest employers of people who are blind or visually impaired in the United States, IFB operates manufacturing facilities in Winston-Salem and Asheville in addition to more than 40 office supply stores and optical centers across the country.
