HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Another step toward justice in the case of a grandmother who became an innocent victim of a violent crime.
Police say 74 year old Josie Lindsay was gunned down in her yard last spring. Officers call her an innocent victim of an ongoing gang war over drugs. Last week, there were 6 new indictments handed down in her case.
De'Kwon Miller, Malik Thomas, Jadakist Bryant and LaShawn Marshall were all indicted for First Degree Murder. Jerry Jenkins, Jr. was indicted for Second Degree Murder and Discharge On A Weapon.
JaQuan Clark and a 14-year-old boy were also arrested in the case.
Lindsay's murder was one of 16 homicides in the city this year, which is more than double last year's number. High Point had 7 homicides in 2016.
