Aggies turned entrepreneurs return to NC A&T for the 'Greatest Homecoming On Earth'

Several NC A&T alumni are bringing their new business to homecoming, adding their own "flavor" of Aggie Pride.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — During homecoming, there is plenty of activity on and around the North Carolina A&T State University Campus.

At War Memorial Stadium, the free Aggie FanFest will put several Aggie-owned businesses front and center for the very first time.

Aggie FanFest is the largest city-managed event in Greensboro.

The festival draws more than 65,000 people to shop and eat from locally owned businesses.

"I'm pretty excited to be a part of homecoming this year because I am an alumnus," said Lindsey Moore, owner of Kasen's Krab Shack.

Moore Graduated in 2016 and just last year she started her own business, Kasen’s Krab Shack.

This year is the first time Moore has come to homecoming as a vendor, instead of solely attending as an alumnus.

"To be able to come back and bring my business, that’s so exciting," said Moore.

Mohammed Musa and his wife own Greenlove and specialize in coffee, teas, and sweet treats.

They too are graduates of North Carolina A&T and also returned to immerse themselves in a new homecoming experience.

"Just being able to provide that service of coffee and tea, and we have to offer to the community here that we went to school at and just having fun in the process," said Musa.

Moore and Musa both say the Aggie Pride displayed at A&T is truly what makes this event the "Greatest Homecoming On Earth."

"Everybody is so passionate about it. Being here as an alumni, I see the passion of Aggie pride," said Musa.

"It’s like an unspoken language, that we all have so that unspoken language is Aggie pride, Aggies do, and we just know that unspoken language, and it all brings us together to become the Greatest Homecoming On Earth," said Moore.

Aggie FanFest is free to attend and is located at War Memorial Auditorium, about a block from Truist Stadium.

The festival kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. and runs through Sunday afternoon.
