NC Trooper Helps Save Baby Opossums After Mother Hit By Car

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper helped to catch the baby opossums after their mother was hit by a car.

PASQUOTANK COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper helped save some baby opossums.

The Highway Patrol said Trooper B.A. Davis came across a driver who saw them stopped on the side of the road in Pasquotank County. The driver pulled over to help save the baby opossums after the mother and another one of the babies was hit. Trooper Davis concerned about the driver’s safety pulled over to help.

Trooper Davis stepped in to catch the baby opossums. Then he called animal control to take them to an animal rehabilitation center. Some very lucky opossums!
