NC Boy in 'Marine Uniform' Visits Dad's Grave in Arlington National Cemetery

Arlington, Va. -- Sitting next to a grave at Arlington National Cemetery, 6-year-old, Christian Jacobs, remembers his dad on Memorial Day.

Christian’s mother, Brittany Jacobs of Hertford, North Carolina has made the trip with her son since the death of her husband, U.S. Marine Corps St. Chris Jacobs.

Jacobs was part of the 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division. He served in Afghanistan and Iraq and was killed during a training exercise in California in 2011.

Jacob visited his father’s grave wearing a replica Marine Crops Dress Blues uniform. He can be seen embracing his mother while remembering his dad.

Jacob also was greeted by President Donald Trump at Arlington National Cemetery

In 2015, Christian’s spoke to WTKR saying, “I hope for you to come back soon, daddy. And I love you and hope for you to be here. I know you will be here and I love you. And he is always watching over me and makes sure - he's proud of me, daddy. And I love you daddy.”
