WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem officials said the road has since reopened.
A multi-vehicle crash shut down a portion of US-421 Thursday, according to Winston-Salem police.
Officers said US-421 north at Jonestown Road will be shut down until further notice. Police said vehicles are exiting off onto Jonestown Road and can get back onto US-421 North.
Drivers are strongly encouraged to choose an alternate route of travel when possible and use caution when traveling through the area. Additionally, drivers are encouraged to utilize their GPS to navigate through the area.
