NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. — There have been more than 70 rip current rescues Friday.
New Hanover County lifeguards report there were 60 rescues at Wrightsville Beach, 13 rescues at Carolina Beach, and six rescues at Kure Beach.
Lifeguards said this in addition to the 70 rescues on July 4th.
