A man is in the Randolph County Detention center after five months on the run from authorities.
Deputies say on October 2, 2018, an individual reported to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office that she was being harassed by a man that she knew.
She told deputies, in addition to the harassment, she believed her social media accounts were being hacked and that man had placed a hidden camera in her bedroom.
The suspect, identified as Mark Allen Raisely, created fake social media accounts to constantly contact her and was also repeatedly telephoning her, the police report states. The man in question also randomly showed up at her house, she said.
After their investigation, detectives charged Mark Allen Raisley with numerous offenses. Raisley left North Carolina after learning that law enforcement was involved. He was later found and arrested in Georgia as a Fugitive from Justice.
Raisley fought extradition back to North Carolina and a Governor’s Warrant subsequently was issued for his return. On Thursday, March 7, Raisley was picked up in Georgia on the Governor’s Warrant by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and returned back to Randolph County.
He was then served with his outstanding warrants for arrest on the following charges:
- Felony Disclosure of Private Images
- Felony Installing a Photographic Imaging Device in a Room
- Misdemeanor Harassing Phone Call
- Misdemeanor Cyberstalking
- Misdemeanor Stalking
