Bicyclist dies in hit-and-run crash in Greensboro, police say

GREENSBORO, N.C. — UPDATE AS OF 11/13: Donald Edward Keene, Jr., 63, died from his injuries Monday, according to Greensboro police. 

A man is in the hospital after he was injured in a hit-and-run while riding a bicycle in Greensboro.

Greensboro police said a man in his 60s was riding a bicycle north on the 3100 block of Sands Drive when a car traveling north struck the bicycle in the rear and then drove away Friday around 8:40 p.m.

Officers said the man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the man is possibly homeless.

Investigators said evidence at the scene indicate the hit-and-run car is charcoal gray in color ranging from a 2014 to 2020 Nissan Rogue and that the car will have extensive damage to the front right side.
