GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police say they're now investigating a death after discovering a body while on call to a break-in on Seminole Dr. in Greensboro Monday morning.

Police were dispatched to 1348 Seminole Dr. around 5 a.m. after an anonymous caller said a man entered the home and later fled after he was confronted by people inside.

Officers were able to track down that suspect and took him into custody. They've identified him as Jacob Montgomery Stowe of Greensboro.

Other officers on scene then saw an unresponsive man in a yard near the break-in. First responders tried to administer first aid, but the man was later pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified that man Monday afternoon as Jamison Logan Horvath, 22.

Police say they determined Stowe and Horvath were arguing in a car together before Stowe entered the home. Horvath exited the car and Stowe backed into him, resulting in fatal injuries. Police are still trying to figure out why Stowe went inside the home.

Stowe is charged with First Degree Murder, First Degree Breaking and Entering, Felony Death by Motor Vehicle, Driving While Impaired, and Driving After Consuming While Under 21.
