Man dies after being pinned between trailer truck backing into loading dock in Winston-Salem

Police said the man was behind the truck as it was backing into the loading dock Friday afternoon.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man is dead after being pinned between a trailer truck and a loading dock, Winston-Salem police say. 

Just before 1:50 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the parking lot of Divert where they found 30-year-old Joshua Kaleb Mullis stuck behind a trailer truck that was backing into a loading dock, according to investigators. 

The driver of the truck stayed on the scene during the investigation. 

Mullis was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries. The driver was not injured.
