GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man is dead after a hit-and-run on West Wendover Avenue in Greensboro Sunday night, police say.
Around 8:44 p.m., a 55-year-old Steven Bradley Loflin was operating a motorized wheelchair on the westbound sidewalk of the West Wendover Avenue overpass at I-40.
He fell into the street with his wheelchair and was hit by a car. The car did not remain on the scene and was described as a possible black sedan or crossover heading west.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene by Guilford County EMS, police say.
This investigation is ongoing.
