PLEASANT GARDEN, N.C.-- A Guilford County man is facing charges after his mother was found in need of medical care.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded around 11:08 a.m. Sunday to a home on Branchwater Road in Pleasant Garden to assist Guilford County Emergency Medical Services on a sick call.
When deputies arrived, they found a woman in need of medical attention from what appeared to be neglect. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The initial investigation led to the arrest of Daniel Bryan Richardson, the son of the victim. Richardson is facing charges of Neglect of a Disabled/Elderly Person with Serious Injury.
He was placed in Guilford County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond.
