BURLINGTON, N.C. — The Alamance County Clerk of Courts said charges have been dropped against Joshua Caleb Jones, accused in a string of break-ins from 2019, as of Feb. 2, 2021.

The Alamance County Sheriff's Office arrested Jones back in September of 2019. He was suspected in a seven-month string of break-ins and thefts in the Kirkpatrick Road area of Burlington, officials said. The sheriff's office posted on Facebook about the break-ins and asked anyone with tips to call in. Shortly after, deputies arrested Jones. Deputies said he stole guns, cash, jewelry and knifes. He faced several charges including breaking and entering, larceny, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

On Tuesday, the Alamance County Clerk of Courts said his charges were dropped.
