SWEPSONVILLE, N.C. — Alamance County Sheriff's Office says a man accused of pulling a gun on someone during a "LetGo" exchange is in jail.
Deputies arrested 18-year-old James Jason Stone on Friday.
They say he robbed someone at the Swepsonville Ballfield in January. Deputies say the victim reported meeting Stone to sell his iPhone. Instead, Stone allegedly pulled out what looked like a Glock 19 handgun, took the iPhone, and left the ballfield.
Investigators later searched Stone's home and found a pellet gun designed to look like a real handgun, along with other items linking him to the robbery.
Deputies say after they arrested Stone, he also confessed to the unsolved break-in of the Circus Foods convenience store on East Main Street in Graham, which happened last August.
Stone is charged with robbery with a firearm, felony breaking and entering, and simple possession of marijuana. His bond is set at $40,000.
