ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A Rockingham County Rescue Squad reacted after the county took away some of its power.
The Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad must now answer to the county before heading out for calls. County leaders say the team had a history of breaking protocol.
The team said, "Madison Rescue does not agree with our removal from the automatic dispatch plan while such discussions are occurring. Madison Rescue views the well-being of the patient and victim as being placed in jeopardy by this action."
The team wants to talk with the county about what's next.
