A giant fence now surrounds part of the campus. The school installed it after the widespread demonstrations over the Israel-Hamas war began earlier this week. Officers detained dozens of protesters.
The metal gates are keeping people away from the American flag in the middle of campus. Protesters took it down and replaced it with the Palestinian flag.
In a statement, the school said it supports the right to demonstrate peacefully, but demonstrators must follow university policies.
