We're compiling a list of events across the Triad that have been canceled due to possible impacts of Hurricane Florence. If you know of a large event that has been canceled and needs to be added to this list, please email webteam@wfmy.com.

North Carolina Zoo: CLOSED Wednesday, September 12 through Friday, September 14

  • The NC Zoo will be making preparations for the arrival of Hurricane Florence and will be closed to the public.

22nd Anniversary Celebration of Black Family Day in Downtown Reidsville: CANCELED

  • Black Family Day has been rescheduled to Sunday, September 30, 2018.
  • The outdoor program begins at 2:30 p.m. at Market Square in downtown Reidsville.
  • It is open to the public.

Central Carolina Fair: ENDING EARLY

  • Instead of shutting down on Sunday, the Central Carolina Fair is closing up shop four days early due to weather concerns.
  • Gates open at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and admission is FREE.

Day in the Park Festival in High Point: CANCELED

  • Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15 at City Lake Park
  • No reschedule date this year
  • Next year's festival will be on Saturday, September 21, 2019

2018 City of Burlington Carousel Festival: CANCELED

  • Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16 at City Park
  • The event will not be rescheduled. However, many elements will be incorporated into upcoming events such as Dark and Park (October 27) and the Downtown Holiday Magic (December 14)

8th Annual 9/11 Remembrance Stair Climb in Greensboro: CANCELED

  • Was set to begin early morning Saturday, September 15 at Bellemeade Parking Deck in downtown Greensboro.
  • No word if it will be rescheduled.

Annual Harvest Festival at Maplewood Baptist Church in Yadkinville: CANCELED

  • Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15.
  • Will be rescheduled for Saturday, September 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Apple Festival at Historic Bethabara Park

Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15.

  • A new October date will be announced.

    International Village

    Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15.

    Postponed to Saturday, Sept. 22. Will be held in conjunction with Fiesta 2018.

    Movie Night at BB&T Ballpark

    Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15.

    Postponed to Oct. 28.

    The Pier Catfish Tournament At Salem Lake

    Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15. Canceled

    South Fork Park Community Yard Sale

    Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15.

    Postponed until Oct. 28.

    Greensboro Swarm Open Tryouts

    Was scheduled for Saturday, September 15 at UNC Greensboro's Kaplan Center for Wellness.

    Rescheduled for Saturday, September 22.
