Man hit by train in Kernersville, police say

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — A man was hit by a train in Kernersville at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, according to the Kernersville Police Department.

Police said the collision happened on the 300 block of East Mountain Street.

According to police, the man was trying to beat the train and got hit.

He was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay.

Police have not issued any charges or arrests at this time.
