HENRY COUNTY, Va. — Deputies are searching for a man who is accused of shooting a person in the back.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office was called to 5269 Mitchell Road, Ridgeway, VA in reference to a gunshot wound at around 5 a.m. on March 2.
When they arrived, they found Shannon Edward Bryant, 51, with a gunshot wound in his back. He was taken to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.
Deputies allegedly identified Timothy Brian Howell of Kernersville, 43, as the person who came to the residence. Deputies said an altercation broke out where Howell allegedly ended up shooting Bryant.
Howell has a warrant issued for charges of Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and Possession for a Firearm by a convicted Felony.
