Roxboro, NC -- Lawyers say it comes down to credibility in the case of a former North Carolina state trooper accused of attempting to kill his estranged wife. Closing arguments were delivered Wednesday in Roxboro in the case of Bobby Regan. Regan's lawyer used his speech to question the credibility of the prosecution's main witness, a former girlfriend of Regan's who is charged with conspiracy in the same case. But District Attorney David Saacks told jurors that Regan has a history of dishonesty, so it's hard to believe him, either. Regan is charged with attempted murder. He could get up to 16 years if he's convicted of shooting Danielle Regan, who was wounded in the shoulder.
