DAVIE COUNTY, N.C. — Emergency units responded to a crash near the 181 mile marker eastbound on I-40, with Clemmons Fire Department assisting.

Upon arrival, responders found a tractor-trailer involved on the eastbound side and two cars affected on the westbound side of the interstate.

During operations, a second incident occurred when a vehicle hit the emergency squad truck stationed on the westbound lanes at a separate accident scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this secondary collision.

This incident serves as a critical reminder for drivers to slow down and move over when approaching emergency vehicles on the roadway. Ensuring the safety of first responders allows them to work efficiently without added risk.
