City leaders selected Hugh Holston to replace Michelle Kennedy’s seat.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro City Council appointed a new member.

The board selected Hugh Holston to replace Michelle Kennedy’s seat. Kennedy stepped down in August to take a different city job. Holston was one of 45 people who applied for the position. Holston is the current chair of the Greensboro Zoning Commission. He must resign to take on his new role with the city.

He’ll be sworn in on Tuesday as the newest city council member.
