NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. — A large version of Richard Petty's iconic cowboy hat is now on display at North Wilkesboro Speedway as we enter All-Star Race weekend.
The King of NASCAR himself unveiled the giant hat sculpture on Friday. NASCAR is unveiling Petty hats at several racetracks throughout the 2024 season as a way to honor 75 years of Petty Racing.
Hall of Famer Richard Petty is the winningest NASCAR Cup Series champion. He also has the most wins of any driver at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
NASCAR unveiled the first Petty hat statue at Daytona Speedway earlier this year to kick off race season.
