HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point Police say 17-year-old Khasi Gladden is a victim of a triple shooting Monday night on the corner of Brentwood Street and Nathan Hunt Drive.
It's the same shooting that killed 17-year-old Deanthony Little.
But at 17 years old, Gladden has 26 charges on his criminal record, which also makes this victim a suspect in many unrelated and related cases.
High Point Police say Gladden was in a stolen Hyundai Monday night with Little and 20-year-old Kameron Turner.
Police say a suspect's car pulled up, and an argument turned into shots fired.
Gladden was hit in the shoulder, Turner was hit in the elbow, and Little was killed after being shot in the head.
Police say Gladden and Turner took Little's body out of the car, left him in the street and drove off.
Gladden was later found on Lawndale Avenue, treated for his injuries, then arrested for outstanding warrants.
His family wasn't in court Wednesday afternoon, but his mom sent in some notes that were read aloud.
Gladden's mother says he's a runaway, a Southwest High School drop out, and has mental health complications.
The judge ordered a mental health evaluation.
Gladden is being held under a 1 million dollar bond for his most recent charges.
The suspects who killed Denathony Little and shot Gladden and Turner have not been arrested yet.
Gladden, again, was a victim but arrested for various other charges, like possession of a stolen vehicle.
Police are investigating whether or not the triple shooting Monday was gang-related, but do say the victims and suspects knew each other.
