GREENSBORO, N.C. — An incident at the Guilford County Jail in downtown Greensboro on Sept. 12 saw a Sheriff's Office detention officer accidently fire his gun in a men's restroom, the Sheriff's Office confirmed to WFMY News 2 on Monday.
A Communications Specialist with the Sheriff's Office confirmed that an incident occurred, but wouldn't release any other information, saying that "it's an internal investigation (personnel matter)."
